We are a social group for adults with learning disabilities, providing opportunities to make friends and build community. We meet once a month to socialise in a variety of ways, from an evening of baking to a pub night or bowling.
Perhaps, in our increasingly visual, media-led culture we’ve confused youth, beauty and status with perfection. But deep down we all know that the things we really care about aren’t visible at all – love, compassion, humour, empathy, playfulness, creativity. Maybe one of the great gifts people with disabilities have for the rest of us is the power to remind us of this, to teach us, and to lead us back into our own humanity.

We had a great time at our church weekend away, thank you to everyone who joined us, especially those who cooked for us, ran our kids work, ministered to us and generally made the weekend happen- we're thankful to be part of this community!

Lots of us are heading off today to enjoy the sunshine on our church weekend away, so things will look a little different on Sunday. There will be a 10.30am service for those who are still around, but no Sunday clubs (Kids/Youth) and no Fusion in the evening. Have a great weekend everyone! ☀️
