Luncheon Club

Some thirty years ago Revd Basil Hill set up luncheon clubs following the development of the premises.  Today we continue this work each Thursday during school term time.  Membership is open to local community members aged 60 and above who live in the Charlton Kings area.

Beth leads a group of volunteers who provide lunches for up to 50 people.  Lunch is served at 12.30 p.m. and afterwards a variety of entertainment is provided finishing at 2.15 p.m.

Charlton Kings Welfare Committee supports this by providing transport for a limited number of housebound members.

The programme and entertainment planned for the forthcoming term is as follows:-

17th September 2015               Order of St John Care Trust

24th September 2015               Songs of Praise - Harvest

1st October 2015                        Quiz – Arthritis trust

8th October 2015                        Music – Roger Woodley & Dave Daniel

15th October 2015                     The Young Ones – John & Hugh (Popular chart songs)

22nd October 2015                     DVD Rail Journey
